Introducing HB0604, our brand new, M.2 SSD Docking Station for Steam Deck

Hello, everybody!

As most of you know, at JSAUX we strive for innovation. That’s why, after having released two different versions of our Steam Deck Docking Station, we wanted to push harder. So we asked ourselves, what should we do next? That’s when we realised that perhaps one of the features that most Steam Deck players are missing is storage. Sure, the pricier Steam Decks offer up to 512GB of storage but we all know that today’s AAA games can eat a significant chunk of that space.

Let’s be honest, we know that the games that you enjoy the most on a big screen are usually the bulkier ones. That’s how we came up with the idea of creating a Docking Station with an M.2 SSD slot that will allow players to dramatically increase their storage space when docking their Steam Deck on a big screen.

Thus the HB0604 was born. It has most of the features you already love about our docking stations (2xUSB ports, HDMI that allows for 4K@60Hz / 2K@120Hz video output, full charge for the Steam Deck, Ethernet connection) but it also adds a twist: that M.2 slot will help you save some bucks if you go for the cheaper Steam Deck as you will be able to upgrade it anytime you want.

The M.2 SSD is compatible with M.2 2280 form factor units and features a PCIe Gen 3 8GT/s interface, up to 4 lanes. The SSD slot is compliant with NVMe Express Revision 1.4 and supports host memory buffer. If you decide to add 1TB or 2TB SSD units you should know that you can get up to 3300MB/s read speeds and up to 2600MB/s write speeds.

Here’s a list of HB0604’s main features:

  • 6-in-1 Docking Station for Steam Deck. Equipped with an HDMI 4K@60Hz / 2K@120Hz output, a Gigabit LAN Ethernet input, a USB-C port for charging, and two USB-A 3.1 ports, letting you explore a new way to play with Steam Deck.
  • The M.2 SSD slot supports NVMe and SATA (900MB/s Data Transfer) so you can upgrade your Deck's storage when playing on a big screen.
  • It comes with a 4K@60Hz / 2K@120Hz HDMI 2.0 output When it's connected to an external 4K monitor, it provides a sharper and smoother visual experience, so you can enjoy the visual feast on your games.
  • Full charging speed for your Steam Deck. The JSAUX Steam Deck docking station supports 100W max. power delivery, which is enough power to charge your Steam Deck at full speed (45W) when paired with the original charger.
  • The JSAUX all-in-1 Steam Deck docking station blends hub and stand together perfectly, so you can keep your desktop neat and organised.
  • It is also compatible with iPads and Android phones with USB-C ports.

We wanted to give players as much freedom of choice as possible, that’s why we are not only selling the Docking Station but we are also offering bundles with 1TB and 2TB SSD storage units, so you can unleash the power of your Steam Deck right away.

HB0604 will be available to purchase from September 7 and we have set up a discounted price for early bird purchases. So if you are planning on getting a docking station for your Steam Deck, now might be the best time to do it!

Would be nice if somebody made a steam deck dock with usb-c video out. Lots of portable monitors have video over usb-c making it more convenient than carrying around HDMI cables
